Terms of Service
Last updated: August 10, 2026
These terms govern your use of the ShareCam app and website. By creating or joining an event you agree to them. If you use ShareCam on an Apple device, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
1. The service
ShareCam lets a host create an event gallery that guests join with a QR code or invite code to contribute photos and videos. Capacity (photo/video counts) and storage duration depend on the package the host chooses.
2. Packages and payment
- Packages are one-time purchases per event — no subscription. Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple.
- Upgrades charge the full price of the target package.
- Storage windows are part of the package. We notify hosts before a gallery expires; expired content is deleted permanently.
- Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their policies.
3. Your content
You keep every right to the photos and videos you upload. By uploading, you grant us the limited license needed to operate the service: storing, resizing and displaying your content within that event's gallery to the people the host has allowed. This license ends when the content or event is deleted. We never use your content for advertising or AI training.
Guests grant the event's host permission to view and download their uploads as part of the event album. Respect for further use (e.g. publishing someone's photo publicly) is between the people at the event.
4. Acceptable use
- Upload only content you have the right to share, and only from events you actually attend.
- No unlawful, harassing or sexually explicit content of any person without consent; no content sexualizing minors (zero tolerance, reported to authorities).
- Hosts moderate their events and may hide content or remove guests; we may remove content or events that violate these terms.
- Guests can report a photo in the app; reported items are hidden from the reporter immediately and flagged to the host.
5. Copyright complaints
If you believe content in an event infringes your copyright, e-mail [email protected] with the event code, a description of the work, and your contact details. We respond to valid notices promptly, including removal where appropriate.
6. Accounts
Hosting works without an account; adding a name and e-mail links your events to you so you can keep them across devices. You are responsible for activity under your account.
7. Disclaimers and liability
ShareCam is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the affected event's package. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
